BBC News - Murder hunt after man shot dead in Tottenham: "murder inquiry has started after a man was shot dead in a north London street.
Officers were called to Mount Pleasant Road, in Tottenham, at 1140 BST on Friday after receiving reports of gun shots being fired.
The victim - thought to be aged 21 - died at the scene. A post-mortem examination will be held later.
The murder is being investigated by Operation Trident, which tackles gun crime in the black community.
Anyone with information should contact Metropolitan Police or Crimestoppers."
